Research standards

We prefer primary sources: vendors' official pricing pages, help centers, terms and policies. Third-party reviews may help us decide what to check but are not used as proof of a fact. Each review lists its sources and the date facts were checked.

Desk research vs. hands-on testing

We distinguish between the two. If an article is based on documentation, it says so. We state hands-on testing only when we have actually performed it, and then describe what was tested and when. Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of testing unless it says so explicitly.

What we won't do

Unverified information

Where we cannot confirm a detail from official vendor documentation, we say so explicitly in the text rather than stating it as fact. In the MailerLite review, items that could not be confirmed from the pages reviewed are labelled as unconfirmed and readers are directed to the official vendor page to verify.

Commercial relationships

No link on this site currently earns us a commission. If that changes, we will say so in the Affiliate Disclosure. Commercial relationships do not entitle a vendor to approve or edit our content.

Updates and corrections

Pricing and features change. We show a last-updated date on each review and correct errors promptly when notified. Contact us via the Contact page.
